In a brand new partnership between ITV1’s Lorraine and Women of the Year, this award has been chosen by the viewers of Lorraine. People across the UK nominated the inspirational women in their lives – from foster parents to community charity workers.

Jackie Millerchip
Jackie Millerchip, 46, from Hinckley in Leicestershire was nominated for ITV1’s Lorraine Inspirational Woman of the Year Award by her friend Sarah Fildes. Jackie is a child minder who looks after both able bodied to severely disabled kids. She has had a sensory cabin built in her garden and has given up her home for them. Jackie is trying to break down discrimination between kids. She spends all her money on them and she also does respite care to help parents.
