At the Women of the Year Lunch, in addition to 400 inspirational women from all walks of life, who are invited to attend as recognition of their work and incredible achievements that year, a number of special Awards are made. The Women of the Year Council is pleased to announce the Women of the Year judging panel for the 2013 Awards – a terrific line up of women from across sectors:

• Ann Cotton OBE, Founder and President of Camfed and former Women of the Year award winner
• Melanie Dawes, Director General of the Economic & Domestic Affairs Secretariat at the Cabinet Office
• Rt Hon Dame Tessa Jowell, MP for Dulwich and West Norwood

They were joined at a judging meeting by Women of the Year President, Baroness Helena Kennedy QC, and Chairman, Teresa Graham CBE.

Each year, 400 women are selected by the Women of the Year Nominations Council to attend the Women of the Year Lunch, and invitations are then issued over the summer.

This year’s Women of the Year Lunch will take place on Monday 14 October where the award winners will be announced.
