Asma Khan

Asma Khan is one of the UK and India’s brightest culinary stars. An award-winning restaurateur, best-selling cookbook author, and the founder of London’s famed Darjeeling Express restaurant. She is the UN World Food Programme’s Chef Advocate, a distinguished presence on the Mayor of London’s Business Advisory Board and an Honorary Fellow at Queen’s College, Oxford University. She holds a PhD in British Constitutional Law from King’s College London where she is also a Fellow and an Honorary Doctorate from SOAS University.

Asma is the first British chef to be profiled on Netflix’s Emmy- nominated Chef’s Table and the first chef to be featured on Vogue’s list of 25 most influential women. Her magnetic persona has graced campaigns for global brands WhatsApp, Levi’s, and National Geographic – while her presence has left an indelible mark on television series like Celebrity MasterChef and America’s Emmy award-winning Top Chef. Best known for her all-female kitchen team and her commitment to social change, The King and Queen of the United Kingdom invited her to Buckingham Palace in recognition of her remarkable contributions to humanitarian work. Asma’s cookbook Ammu was named ‘Times’ Book of the Year’ and was featured on GQ’s list of best cookbooks. She is truly an unstoppable force in the hospitality industry and beyond.
