Sally’s role is to provide communications, engagement and information to 6000 staff and numerous stakeholders at the Trust. She is responsible for the WUTH charity, which raises £0.5m a year for hospital projects and staff wellbeing. She is a Trustee and Honorary Treasurer of the healthcare research charity Picker, Treasurer of the City of London’s Company of Communicators and its charitable trust. She is a Past President of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, a Founding Chartered Practitioner and Fellow of the Institute; and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors. She’s an alumna of Leeds and Stirling Universities. Her communications career includes working at senior levels for household names such as AstraZeneca, Manchester Airport, The University of Manchester and the Health and Safety Executive, as a senior civil servant. Sally has been on the Management Committee for Women of the Year since 2017.
