Thank you for visiting this webpage which is all about The Lorraine Woman of the Year Trailblazer Award 2026 as part of the Women of the Year Lunch & Awards (the “Awards”).
Here, we tell you how Women of the Year (“WOY”, “we”, “our”, “us”) process your and your nominee’s personal information for the purposes of the Awards, the eligibility criteria, the terms and conditions and how to submit your nomination for the Awards.
Your Privacy
First off, let’s tell you how we intend to collect and process your and your Nominee’s personal information.
Any personal information provided in the nomination will be collected and processed in accordance with our privacy notice which can be found here: https://www.womenoftheyear.co.uk/privacy-policy/ (our “Privacy Notice”).
As part of your nomination and during the judging process and winner selection we may also collect and process personal information which is more sensitive than ‘everyday’ personal information, such as information about your health or criminal convictions (if any) (“Sensitive Information”). This Sensitive Information will be collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Notice. Please be aware we can only consider your nomination if you consent to us processing Sensitive Information about you in accordance with the Privacy Notice.

Terms and Conditions
Opening/closing date & time:
- Nomination period opens for entries via the online form at https://www.womenoftheyear.co.uk/lorraines-women-of-the-year-trailblazer-award/ (“Website”) the week commencing Monday 29th June 2026 as announced in the Lorraine programme and/or online at www.itv.com/lorraine and/or on the Website.
- Nomination period closes at 5pm on 31st August 2026.
Who can enter:
Nominator and the person nominated by a nominator (the “Nominee”) must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- they must both be a UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man resident aged 18 years or over;
- by the closing date for applications:
- the Nominator must have the permission of the Nominee and any other individuals whose details have been provided as part of the nomination to submit the nomination;
- the Nominator is responsible for making the Nominees aware of the terms and conditions for their nomination;
- Nominators are responsible for making their Nominees aware of the WOY’s Privacy Policy;
- Nominators must nominate another person and cannot nominate themselves;
- Nominees and nominators must not be employed or engaged by ITV (or any ITV group company); or WOY and
- Nominators and Nominees should note that part of the prize is attending the Awards to collect their award and that they may be required to appear on the Lorraine programme and/or other communications supporting the Women of the Year event.
- Nominees and nominators must agree to take part in any filming, broadcast and publicity related to the Awards.
The Nominator must be contactable by phone and/or email within seven (7) days following the closing of the nomination period. If selected as the Winner (as defined below), the Nominee must be available to travel to London during the week commencing 5th October 2026 to appear on the Lorraine programme and again to attend the Awards lunch on Monday 12th October 2026.
Proof of eligibility may be required. Failure to comply with the eligibility criteria as set out in these terms and conditions, and elsewhere as applicable or failure to comply with instructions and/or directions given or with these terms and conditions in any way may result in disqualification of the nominator and their Nominee. For the avoidance of doubt, if we suspect that a nominator and/or Nominee is not eligible to participate, we reserve the right to terminate or suspend their further participation. The Nominee must comply with any instructions and/or directions as given to them by WOY.

Viewers nominate and provide details of a woman they believe deserves to win the Lorraine Woman of the Year Trailblazer Award.

Selection process:
WOY will select a shortlist of up to fifteen (15) from the Nominees they consider best meet the selection criteria as set out on the Website under the nomination form (“Selection Criteria”). WOY’s selection of the shortlisted entrants will be at their sole discretion and will be final.
Each eligible shortlisted entry will be assessed by a judging panel. The panel consisting of the Chair of Women of the Year, a representative from ITV and such other panellists as may be communicated (the “Judging Panel”) will select the winner (“Winner”). The decision of the Judging Panel will be based on the Selection Criteria.
The Winner and/or their nominator will be contacted for confirmation of eligibility, compliance with the entry criteria and availability on the dates required. Failure to comply with any criteria or failure to confirm availability on the dates required may result in disqualification of the Winner and another Nominee being selected by the Judging Panel from the shortlist.
Prize:
The Winner will be invited to attend the Awards lunch and ceremony on 12th October 2026 at the Royal Lancaster London, Lancaster Terrace, London W2 2TY, where the winner will receive Lorraine’s Woman of the Year Trailblazer Award.
The prize includes the following which shall be provided by ITV:
- return travel for the Winner and their companion from their town/city of residence to London (plus overnight accommodation if required) to attend the Award lunch on 12th October 2026, and back to their respective town/city. Travel consists of standard class return rail travel to London from the nearest UK mainland train station to the home address of the Winner, or if based in the Isle of Man, Northern Island or the Channel Islands, return economy flights to London (airports to be determined by ITV);
- transportation between the hotel and the Awards lunch for the Winner on 12th October 2026;
- return travel for the Winner from their town/city of residence to London (plus overnight accommodation if required) for the Winner during the week commencing 5th October 2026. Travel consists of standard class return rail travel to London from the nearest UK mainland train station to the home address of the Nominee, or if based in the Isle of Man, Northern Island or the Channel Islands, return economy flights to London (airports to be determined by ITV). Please note that attendance at the ITV studio to appear on the Lorraine programme will be for the Winner only and no guest(s) will be permitted to attend, unless disabled support is required; and
- transportation between the UK mainland train station or London airport (as applicable) and the Lorraine studio.
The prize excludes car hire, travel insurance, personal expenses and any other costs not covered above.
In the event the Winner is unable to attend the lunch and/or appear on the Lorraine programme for any reason, one of the runner’s up will be awarded the title at WOY’s discretion.
It is the responsibility of the Winner to inform WOY of any dietary requirements prior to attending the ceremony. It is the responsibility of the Winner to pay any other expenses which may be incurred when appearing on the Lorraine programme and attending the Women of the Year lunch (other than stated above) and WOY and/or ITV is not responsible or liable to refund any such expenses.
It is the responsibility of the Winner to inform WOY and ITV of any wheelchair or similar access requirements they may have and to adhere to any applicable health and safety guidelines.
Please note that the Winner will need a current and valid credit/debit card with sufficient available funds in order to check in at the hotel for security deposit purposes.
The Winner acknowledges that in the event that the Awards lunch does not take place as specified for any reason, WOY do not accept responsibility in these circumstances and no alternative Prize package will be provided.
Participation in the competition:
By submitting a nomination, you agree the following:
- you acknowledge that both you and the Nominee are aged 18 or over;
- you have read and accept: these terms and conditions;
- that WOY may contact you and/or your Nominee in relation to such nomination;
- you have the explicit consent of the Nominee and any other person mentioned in your nomination to pass their details to us. The Nominee must be aware: (i) their nomination is subject to these terms and conditions (ii) part of the prize is attending the Award lunch to collect their award; (iii) they may be required to appear on the Lorraine programme and/or other communications supporting the Women of the Year event; and (iv) of the WOY Privacy Policy;
- both you and the Nominee are UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man residents aged 18 or over;
- you cannot nominate yourself; you must nominate someone else;
- neither you nor the Nominee can be employed or engaged by ITV or any ITV group company;
- you will only be contacted should your Nominee be shortlisted;
- the Winner must be available to travel to London, attend the Awards and participate in filming and publicity as required for the Lorraine programme;
- that nothing in your entry or the materials you submit will infringe any data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the UK Data Protection Act 2018 (both as amended, replaced or repealed from time to time); and
- your entry does not contain any material which is in any way defamatory, obscene, unlawful, harmful, offensive or inappropriate or may have the effect of being harassing, threatening, abusive or hateful or that otherwise degrades or intimidates an individual or group of individuals on the basis of religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age or disability or which refers directly or indirectly to alcohol or intoxication and must not infringe third party rights (for example, by including third party branding). Any such entry will be deemed inappropriate and will not be considered.
