Friends of Women of the Year may be interested in the Marie Colvin Journalist’ Circle event, celebrating the life of the renowned foreign correspondent and her legacy:

Wednesday 3rd February 2016, 7pm to 11pm
Bush Hall, Shepherds Bush, W12 7LJ

Marie’s friends are launching a new online community for female journalists working in the Arab world. The network is creating a space for discussion of local and global issues, practical advice and mentoring. It will connect experienced journalists with new or unsupported reporters for peer-to-peer support. As Marie often said, working as a journalist can be isolating, risky and challenging. Join us to support the courageous talented women reporting some of the toughest and most important stories, usually without a sounding board or trusted colleague to turn to for help.
A tickets cost £75 (over 25s) or £37.50 (under 25s).

To buy tickets online please click here: Celebrating Marie Colvin

Or payments can be made directly to the Circle of Women bank account (using your name and MCJC as the reference): Name: Circle of Women, Sort Code: 08-92-99, Account Number: 65724046

Or send a cheque made payable to The Circle of Women and send to 3 Lassell Gardens, Maidenhead, Berskhire, SL6 8D

If you cannot attend this event you can still donate by visiting the Marie Colvin Journalists’ Circle web page.
