Christine Ohuruogu is an Olympic, World and Commonwealth 400m Champion. She was one of the 2012 Good Housekeeping Women of the Year Award winners alongside the Team GB Olympic & Paralympic Women Medallists.
“The Women of the year Lunch was a beautiful experience; collecting an award alongside other phenomenal female athletes from the most successful British Olympic team ever was a real honour.
“Beyond that honour however, was being included amongst some truly admirable women during the lunch. We all gladly could have stayed into the evening talking (there was not enough time!), but being given the opportunity to snatch some bits of inspiration from those women present was something I was grateful for.
To celebrate, honour and share ideas as women made the event in my eyes a success. Being in the company of those who had reached the heights of success encourages me to push on with my own goals; I am preparing to defend my World Championship title which I won in 2013 with a national record.”
