Women of the Year meets… Tracy Edwards

We enjoyed a screening at The Charlotte Street Hotel of Maiden hosted by Tracy Edwards MBE. This documentary charts how Tracy and her crew of the ocean-racing yacht Maiden competed as the first all-woman crew in the 1989–1990 Whitbread Round the World Race.

Tracy introduced the film and took questions afterwards; she also spoke about her Charity, The Maiden Factor, which she founded to empower girls around the world through education. The film was a compelling watch and the evening was a wonderful celebration of an inspirational voyage by a phenomenal group of exceptional women.
